Cellulite Treatment

What is Cellulite?

Welcome to BioCell Clinic, where we’re dedicated to providing you with the most effective solutions for cellulite.

Let’s dive into the topic and explore what cellulite really is.

Cellulite is a condition characterized by the abnormal growth of fat cells and thickening of the skin’s fat layer, resulting in a dimpled or orange peel appearance. It commonly occurs on the pelvic region (specifically the buttocks), lower limbs, thighs, and abdomen.
When the fat cells beneath the skin expand, they exert pressure on blood and lymph vessels, leading to poor elimination of toxins and fluids. This enlargement and accumulation of fat cells contribute to the development of cellulite, giving the skin its characteristic dimpled texture.

Interestingly, cellulite affects women more commonly than men.
This can be attributed to the fundamental differences in male and female skin. In females, fat cells are situated in large, separate compartments that form columns beneath the skin’s surface. As these fat cells increase in size, the compartments overflow and expand vertically, exerting significant pressure on the skin’s surface and resulting in the formation of cellulite.
On the other hand, male skin follows a crisscrossed pattern, with smaller fat compartments that tend to create one solid blob of fat. Due to the thickness of their epidermis, which is the top layer of the skin, men are generally less prone to developing cellulite. Their skin’s resilient structure prevents the fat from bulging through the surface, unlike in women where the thinner epidermis exposes them to the appearance of cellulite.

The causes of cellulite are multifactorial, including changes in metabolism, physiology, diet and exercise habits, sedentary lifestyle, sex-specific hormonal factors, genetic factors, and high-stress lifestyles.

While cellulite may be an annoying reality for many, the good news is that BioCell offers highly effective treatments to minimize its appearance.

At our clinic, we utilize the cutting-edge Starvac SP Original professional equipment from France for our anti-cellulite high-tech body sculpting procedure.
This high-performance physiotherapeutic device is designed to dislodge fat pockets trapped in subcutaneous tissue, activating deep tissue while stimulating blood and lymphatic flow and improving skin elasticity. The result? The dimpled appearance disappears, the body becomes toned, and the body shape is recontoured.

During the anti-cellulite body sculpting therapy, the Starvac massage activates lymph drainage, enhances microcirculation in the skin and fat tissue, and accelerates the adhesion of fatty cells. This process leads to smoother and tighter skin, dramatically reducing volume and cellulite in areas such as the buttocks, thighs, hands, back, and waist.

The Starvac body sculpting therapy works by creating a partial vacuum on the skin’s surface and gently suctioning the skin between two mobile rollers located within the suction handles. The spacing between the rollers adjusts to the fold of the skin, ensuring a tailored and effective massage experience. The unique combination of massage, rolling, exfoliating and suction promotes optimal results.

For best outcomes, we recommend an average course of 10 to 15 sessions (up to 30 sessions in severe cases), two to three times a week.

It’s important to complement the treatments with a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular exercise, and drinking at least 1,5-2 liters of water daily. By breaking the cellulite cycle and adopting these habits, you can achieve better slimming and smoothing results.
